Rising demands, declining funds: How can we still effectively measure results?

A panel discussion about impact evaluation in development cooperation

🗓️ 8th of December 2026 | ⏰ 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm (CET) | 📍online | 🗨️ English (without translation)

Unité invites you to a panel discussion on impact evaluation in development cooperation, bringing together experts from Switzerland and the Global South.

As budgets for international cooperation tighten, the demand for credible evidence of impact has not diminished – if anything, it has grown. This raises critical questions: How can development actors continue to conduct rigorous, meaningful impact evaluations with fewer resources? Should impact analysis primarily be a tool for learning, for accountability to local communities, or for fulfilling donor demands? And which approaches should we protect, adapt, or let go of to ensure credible results? We will discuss these and many more questions with different monitoring and evaluation experts. Of course, there will also be opportunities for the audience to actively contribute to the discussion.

We look forward to exchanging experiences and hearing your input!

Thank you for spreading the word and for saving the date in your calendar.

➡️ More information about the panellists and the registration will be available in a few weeks.
